16 WEEKS

I LOVE BEING PREGNANT! As you can see I've reached my 2nd trimester and they don't call it the babymoon for nothing! I really feel great and have for the last few weeks. I have my energy back and even though I'm not super hungry I can almost finish a meal now. I have also felt the babies fluttering about when I go to bed at night and it seems one is moving a bit more then the other. The shock of having twins is starting to fade a bit and is being replaced by excitement but I know that will change when it gets closer to delivery time.

I receive weekly updates on the babies growth progress and this week I learned they are the size of an apple and approximately 4 inches. I can deal with 2 apples right? Here's what freaks me out a bit. We cleaned our garage this last weekend and went through boxes and Sloan rediscovered her bitty baby from American Girl. Bitty baby is about 2 pounds and is about 16 inches long. Sloan put the baby across my stomach and I thought those babies are going to weigh more and will be longer, how in the world are those things going to fit in there? Maybe that explains the pulling I feel in my stomach when I go for walks in the evening.

Another thing that is on my mind is my weight gain, I lost about 6 or 7 pounds the first trimester with Sloan and only gained about 18-19 pounds with her for the entire pregnancy. I'm 16 weeks and I have gained 6 pounds so far and I eat waaaaayyyy healthier this time around then I did with Sloan. I am convinced your body is going to gain and do what it needs to do regardless of what you put in your body!

I have a doctor's appointment next week and another ultrasound on July 2nd which is the big day we find out what Baby A and Baby B are and then finally I get to do some REAL shopping, because I'm getting really bored buying white onesies and white booties!!!

Wow - you'll be finding out the gender in no time at all! Is it me, or is this pregnancy flying by so far? (Easy for me to say!)

You look great, Laurie! Just a tiny bump so far...but a damn cute one!

Don't worry about weight gain...you look great. You have such a small bump for carrying twins.

I will be waiting all day on July 2nd for a post, so please don't keep us waiting.
